Memorial Day

It was a beautiful day in Edmonds on Memorial Day!  Mommy and Daddy and I took several walks.  I played on the slide and swing at the park, and we played in our yard.  It was so fun to have an extra day added on to our weekend!
I love my new Ergo baby carrier!  Mommy can use it as a backpack too.
This is the silly face I make when I'm trying to make you laugh!

I've discovered my tongue can do tricks

My newest fascination is with my tongue!  I can make it curl, stick out really far, and like to make clicking noises too.  Daddy's new nickname for me is Gene Simmons!
This face was accompanied by a loud growl.
What? Yes, I know my hair is sticking straight up.  It can't be helped!
Gimme that camera!

My new favorite toy is the box our food processor came in.  It is my fort, and I play peekaboo with Mommy and Daddy from inside!  I am eight and a half months old in these pictures.

Friday Night Fun

It was a busy week for Mommy and Daddy, so we were all happy to have a "quiet" evening at home last night.  I was feeling extremely playful, and was making Mommy and Daddy laugh with all of my silly faces!  I played in my cardboard box fort, jumped like crazy in my jumperoo, got tickled by Mommy until I was shrieking with laughter, and rough housed with Daddy.

I LOVE being thrown up in the air!

I started laughing when I saw this picture on the computer!
Mommy and Daddy thought this picture was so funny that they laughed until they cried, which made me very nervous.  I almost cried too.

8 Months Old!

Here are some pictures that were taken of me on Mother's Day.  I'm wearing my "big boy" jeans.  Mommy thinks they make me look so old!

I'm crawling!

I started crawling about a week ago!  Mommy and Daddy have been scrambling to make the house a safe place for me to roam.  Mommy made a list of all the hair-raising things I managed to do on my first day getting around:
1. Chew on the cable cord
2. Remove the caps from the base of the toilet
3. Chew on the corner of the area rug... he discovered that the underneath side has rubber and is fascinated by it.
4. Empty the contents to mommy's purse
5. Pull a cookbook off the bookshelf
6. Eat grass
7. Squish a bug
8. Remove the tape strips from previously mentioned cable cord, pull it away from the wall, chew again.
9. Get stuck with half his body under the changing table
10. Get stuck underneath his jumperoo
11. Get stuck with his legs up above his head against the front door

My nursery is now a baby safe zone, so I have been doing most of my playing in there.  I have decided Mommy is my current favorite person, and start to cry and call her name whenever she disappears on me during the day!  We end up playing lots of peek-a-boo.  I plan to make her feel very loved on her first Mother's Day!
