Christmas Eve Pictures
We had our relatives over on Christmas Eve, then we went to the candlelight service at church where our family lit the Advent candle and Mommy sang with the choir. Here are some pictures my Great Uncle Mike took from that night! Since Mommy uploaded them from a website, they are a little too big for our blog... just click on the individual pictures to see the FULL picture instead of the cropped version!

Christmas Morning
Merry Christmas! I have had such a fun Christmas so far! For Christmas Eve, we had a bunch of my relatives over for appetizers and soup. After our little party, we went to the candlelight service at church. I got to light the Advent candle with Mommy and Daddy, and Mommy sang with the choir. I got up at 7am this morning, and was SO excited when I saw a giant stuffed lion under the tree! I got so many fun things to play with: a plastic sled, a rocking horse, several books, a hammer set, singing refrigerator magnets, a talking telephone, a stuffed animal, a push toy... I'm a lucky boy!! It is now 11:45, and I am snoozing before heading to my Great Aunt Alex and Great Uncle Mike's house for Christmas dinner. I am also looking forward to seeing my Grandma Edna and Jim before we leave!

Rockin' around the Christmas tree...
Mommy and I have been going a bit stir-crazy with all of this wet weather! We have tried to do some fun indoor activities, like baking gingerbread cookies together and having a playdate with
my friend Elisha. We finally bundled up today and went outside, even though it was pouring down rain! I was so excited to get in my stroller for our walk! Mommy tucked me inside a warm blanket, and put the plastic rain cover over my stroller. We walked to Starbucks and shared a piece of lemon pound cake. YUM! I have a major sweet tooth, so Mommy and Daddy have to be careful about how often they let me have treats, or I won't eat my healthy food! Here are some pictures taken this week.

Oh ya better watch out...
It has been SO COLD here the past few weeks! Mommy and Daddy have been having to layer several quilts on top of me at night to keep me warm. I love to wear my hat and mittens, even in the house! Daddy was out of town this past week on a business trip. Mommy and I had a good couple of days, but I sure missed him! I'm looking forward to rough-housing with him this evening!

WALKING!
Here is a video taken this evening of me walking. I'm getting good at it! Sorry it's sideways... Mommy couldn't figure out how to fix that, so you'll have to twist your head while you watch!

15 months old
I am 15 months old now! I weighed in at 20lbs 6oz and was 30 inches tall at my well baby check-up yesterday. Mommy calls me her "little peanut" because I am such a lightweight. The doctor said that I definitely pass the eyeball test, and was pleased with my development. I was in hysterics the entire visit, which was very hard on Mommy. I had my MMR vaccine and second dose of H1N1, and have been doing great today... no fever!

I am starting to walk more and more. My newest word is "boom". I like to fall down on purpose just so that Mommy and Daddy will say it!
We had a fun day today. We took Santa pictures at the local real estate office. They were doing them for free in exchange for toy donations to a local charity. I wasn't quite sure what to think of Santa, and didn't smile for the picture. But, I DID crack a teeny tiny smile when Santa handed me a candy cane afterwards! Daddy worked all afternoon putting our Christmas lights up. They look so pretty! Now we just have to get our tree!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! I had a rough week of teething, and finally got back to my "normal" schedule just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday to send me into another tailspin. I am really looking forward to all of the yummy food! Mommy and Daddy are going to let me try pumpkin pie for the first time. Here are a few recent pictures. Enjoy!

November Shenanigans
I am learning how to walk slowly but surely. I took four steps in a row last night! Even though I don't take very many steps yet, I love to show off by standing up big and tall for anyone and everyone who will act excited about it! I have been learning how to get into things like the cereal boxes and toilet paper, making extravagant messes for my Mommy and Daddy to clean up. I am teething again. Mommy THOUGHT I had eight teeth, but then she found out I actually had nine when she was brushing my teeth one night and discovered a stealth tooth in the back on top! I have a new lovey. Puppy joined our family today. Mommy took me into the toy store to look at the puppets and I grabbed Puppy off the shelf with a huge smile on my face and did not let go of him again until I fell asleep this evening.

Trick or Treat!
Happy Halloween! Halloween 2009 did not start out super well... Mommy, Daddy and I waited in line outside the hospital for five and a half hours so that Mommy and I could get our H1N1 vaccines. What a terrible way to start the day! Mommy and Daddy were very proud of how good I was while we were waiting in line. I got very scared when I saw the nurses in their scrubs, because I knew it meant I was going to get a shot. I was shaking and crying before they even poked me! After that, Jim and Grandma Edna came by for a short visit, and then Mommy and I took a long nap together. Grandma Libby came by with Halloween treats for me after my nap, and then I got into my costume and Mommy and Daddy and I went Trick or Treating along Main Street. They had all the roads closed, and all of the shops were giving out candy. It was cold and wet, so we didn't stay out for very long. I had a good time, except for in the very beginning, when the associate pastor from our church who was dressed up like Pooh Bear made me cry because he looked so funny! When we got home, I had fun helping Mommy and Daddy answer the door for all the trick or treaters. I also got to taste my first Kit Kat, and thought it was great fun to empty the candy bowl when Mommy and Daddy weren't looking! In other news, Mommy gave me my first haircut this past week, and I took my first two steps today! I stepped with my right foot, dragged my feet together, then stepped with my right foot again. Maybe tomorrow I'll work on right, left, right, left! Mommy was the only one who saw me take the steps... Daddy was busy putting furniture straps on all the dressers since we found out I am fully capable of tipping them over last weekend!
