So many people to love!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I am thankful for all of the people in my life that love me, and that I get to love back!  I got to meet my cousins Mercedes and Chelsea, and my soon-to-be Auntie Amy for the first time this week.  On Thanksgiving Day, we went to my second cousin Rachael's house for dinner.  Mommy and Daddy were so proud of me for sleeping the entire way there and back!  It was the longest car ride I had taken yet.  I enjoyed getting lots of attention from my relatives, and only had one meltdown, right around the time dinner was served.  I decided that dogs scare me... at least beagles and golden retrievers!!  Here are some pictures:

I love my Daddy, he's oh so silly...

I love my Mommy, she's oh so pretty...

I love my Auntie Amy with her great big smile...

I love my cousin Mercedes, she holds me just right...

And I love all my other relatives too, even the ones that Mommy and Daddy didn't capture on camera!!!

I'm almost three months old

I will be three months old in just a few short days!  I have gotten quite pudgy, especially in my thighs.  When Mommy weighed me on the bathroom scale this week, it said I weighed 13 pounds.  Holy moly!!  I love to suck on my thumb and fist.  I don't like to sit still!  My favorite activities are being bounced up and down by Mommy or Daddy, laying on the floor and kicking up a storm with my music on, and being jiggled on Mommy or Daddy's knee.  Here are some recent pictures!

Wait... aren't my pants supposed to go on the OTHER end?  My Daddy is such a goofball!!

I fell asleep next to Daddy while we were watching Star Wars.

ROCK STAR!!

Two and a half months

I'm two and a half months old now.  Mommy and Daddy can't believe how fast the time has gone by!  I am still not sleeping through the night, but I'm on a decent schedule.  I am getting up about every three hours to nurse during the night.  Here are some pictures... I'm growing like a weed!

I like to be propped up or held in a standing position.  It makes me feel like a big boy!

Mommy caught me laughing!

Well hello there

I'm not quite as bald as I used to be

The Christmas Card Photo shoot... don't worry, this is NOT the one on the card.  So I'm not spoiling anything!

Cedar Way Elementary Baby Shower

My Mommy was the music teacher at Cedar Way Elementary until I was born.  Yesterday, the staff threw me a baby shower.  It was fun because I actually got to be there for it, instead of inside Mommy's tummy!  I got lots of really nice things, and I also got to meet the other Cedar Way babies, Sammy and Connor!  Sammy's Mommy is the kindergarten teacher, and Connor's Daddy is the 5th grade teacher.  They were both born on the last day of school in June!  I was born on the second day of school in September, so I look kind of tiny next to them.

In other news, I am going to have a new Aunt soon!  My Uncle Joe proposed to his girlfriend Amy, and they are planning to get married next summer!  If you want to see pictures from when they got engaged, you can go to my Uncle Joe's blog: http://joethomson.blogspot.com

The Cedar Way Babies... I'm in the middle!

Standing next to my yummy cake.  It was vanilla with strawberry creme filling.

I'm not the only one who likes my Binky! It was pouring down rain outside, so our Mommies really had to bundle us up!

A day in the life of Josiah

Have you ever wondered how I spend my day?  I still sleep a lot... usually I'm asleep until around 8:30, then I am awake until around 10:30.  I sleep from about 10:30-1, which is when Mommy and I go on a long walk. When I wake up, I eat some lunch, then sleep from about 1:30-3:00.  Then when I wake up from my afternoon nap, I'm ready to play for awhile!  This is usually when I play with my toys, dance with Mommy to my music, and have some tummy time. I take another nap from about 4-5,  and am eating dinner around the time Daddy gets home from work.  Then I take a short nap while Mommy and Daddy eat dinner. I wake up right when Mommy and Daddy are finishing dinner (unless I'm feeling ornery and decide to wake up in the MIDDLE of dinner!).   Then I usually spend time with Daddy while Mommy runs errands or takes a bath.  I take short naps until I go to bed around 10:30.  I'm still waking up around 2:30am, 4:45am, and 7am to eat.  I usually come to bed with Mommy after my 4:45am feeding, right as Daddy is getting up for work, so that she doesn't have to make an extra trip to the nursery after Daddy leaves!  I know my schedule is kind of hard to keep track of, but Mommy is just grateful that I'm becoming a little more predictable!

Busy, busy, busy!

Okay Mommy, I'll give you a teeny tiny smile

I'm SO close to being able to roll over!  UPDATE:  He rolled over the next day!

I love my crib BUT...

I sleep in my crib most of the time, but my FAVORITE place to sleep is next to Mommy in the king sized bed.  They really should make king sized cribs with down comforters!  It's just so much cozier!  This morning I pitched a fit in my crib, and Mommy let me come snooze next to her.  I was so happy to be in bed with her,  that I had about a half hour of pillow talk with her before I finally nodded off.  I have a playdate today with my friend Emily whose Mommy Nicole is having a baby boy in December.  Little Steven and I are planning on being the best of friends!  Emily is getting used to the idea of having a baby brother by spending extra time with me.  She doesn't cry now when her Mommy holds me, which is definitely progress!

Where's Waldo, I mean Josiah?!

Daddy calls this my Rainbow Bright outfit!

Have you ever wondered where I am when Mommy is writing my blog on a cold autumn day?

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!  My second cousin Rachael bought me a little pumpkin outfit, and Mommy couldn't wait to put it on me!  I'm growing so fast, that when Mommy pulled out the sweater I'm wearing in these pictures, it was already almost too small!  The sweater and bonnet were a gift from my Great Grandma and Grandpa Thomson.  They belonged to my Grandpa Earl when he was a baby.  I feel very lucky to have them since I never actually got to meet my Grandpa.  I know he is looking down from heaven and smiling at what an adorable grandson he has!

I can sit up now, as long as I am wedged in the corner of the chair!

I hate tummy time, but Mommy insisted on getting a shot of my rear end with the giant pumpkin face!

I look so cute in this bonnet, but I'm TIRED of having my picture taken!!
