Mommy and I went to Country Village today. I had a great time! There were TONS of ducks quacking and swimming in the pond. I also loved playing with Thomas the Train and the kitchen at the toystore. There was a pirate ship at the playground with a super fun ladder. We ate lunch at The Village Bean, where they have a whole play area for kids. After lunch, we took a ride on the train, which was super exciting! We also got to see the Rooster... I named him Cock-a-doo. I had a really fun time, and can't wait to go back again, hopefully on a day when the playground is not quite so wet and swampy!

2.5 Years
I had my 2.5 year well child check-up today with Dr. Bennett. I weighed in at 26.6 pounds, and measured 35 inches tall. I had to have my hepatitis shot today, which did not make me happy. I said "ow, ow, ouch" all the way to the car. A good long nap took care of things though! I have been cracking my Mommy and Daddy up with all of my imaginary play lately. I just love to turn ordinary things into extraordinary things! Yesterday, I took the beaters from Mommy's mixer and turned them into screwdrivers, sticking them in the little holes inside the kitchen cabinet. Today at the doctor, I pretended that my toy turtle bit my toy zebra, and I put him on the exam table for Dr. Bennett to check when she came in. I'm always "workin' so hard" around the house, climbing chairs pretending they are ladders, scrubbing cabinets with toothbrushes, and generally making a giant mess in the process!
Pretending to be an alien with the angelfood cake pan, which ended up being a bit of a disaster since I got it stuck on my head and had to have Mommy pull it off.
The guard from the inside of my construction hat was turned into my scuba diving mask after watching Finding Nemo.
Taking apart my toy car, which requires my trick or treat pumpkin basket used as a construction hat.

I decided Daddy needed a hat too, but that he could have the real construction hat since the pumpkin was more comfortable on my head.

A Trip to the Aquarium
I don't know if you've been following the weather reports for our area, but it has been FREEZING COLD here for the past several days! Mommy and Daddy checked the weather report before bed last night, and it said today would be sunny and clear but with highs only in the 20's. So, they decided we'd do a trip to the Seattle Aquarium today since it was too cold for the zoo, and we wanted to do something special. We got all ready to go this morning, and opened the door to cloudy skies and snow flurries! We decided to go anyways. I loved seeing the fish, especially the tank with Dory, Nemo and Marlin! My absolute favorite part of the aquarium were the touch tanks. I touched starfish, sea cucumbers, anemones, and a few other things too! After we finished our visit to the aquarium, we stopped at Dicks for a cheeseburger, fries and a milkshake. I pointed out to Mommy and Daddy that the Dicks sign has a starfish on it... ever notice that before?! What a wonderful day.

Happy February!
I can't believe it is February already! I am thankful that we are starting to get some sunshine. I just love playing outside. I like collecting rocks, and tossing sticks and plum pits over the fence for the neighbors chickens and the big fat squirrel that is always nearby! If I could be outside all day long I'd be a happy camper. Just a few more months until the really nice weather comes back.
CHEESE!
Happy to be outside in the sunshine
Feeling mischievous!
