Brunch at Grandma Libby's

My Grandma Libby found an airplane for me at the recycle store in Ballard! She is going to repaint it and put my Grandpa Earl's squadron number on the wings. It will be set in concrete in her yard so that I can play with it whenever I come to visit! I got to ride it for the first time today. Daddy and I had fun playing in the yard, and I really enjoyed getting to know all of my great aunts, great uncles, and second cousins on the Thomson side of the family. I wish they all lived closer! But, Mommy and Daddy keep reminding me that it's not a terrible thing to have relatives in California and Hawaii... when I'm older, hopefully we will get to take some fun family vacations!

Uncle Joe and Aunt Amy's Wedding, Part 2

Here are some more pictures from Joe and Amy's special day. The day after the wedding, I had the chance to meet many of the people in my Grandpa Earl's family for the first time. We had a brunch with all of them at my Grandma Libby's house. They all thought I was so adorable. My Great Grandma Margie and Great Grandpa Tommy even brought me an outfit that had been Great Grandpa's when HE was a baby! It has been a busy weekend, and tomorrow is Father's Day. My Mommy and Daddy are very tired, and we are all ready to get back to our normal routines, despite how fun and memorable this weekend has been!

Uncle Joe and Aunt Amy's Wedding, Part 1

My Uncle Joe got married on Friday night! My Grandma Edna babysat me the night of the wedding, because I have a hard time sitting quietly in a church setting. Mommy and Daddy missed me that night! They told me all about the wedding, and said it was beautiful. My Mommy sang a solo for the wedding, which was a huge honor for her. I am so excited to get to know my Uncle Joe and Aunt Amy better now that they will be living in Seattle!

Summertime fun!

Mommy and Daddy can't stop commenting on how quickly I am growing up! I am eating all sorts of foods these days in addition to Mommy's milk. Some of my new favorite things are hummus, yams, Daddy's homemade muffins, potstickers, and VANILLA ICE CREAM! I have perfected my lightening speed scoot/crawl, and know exactly which things I'm not supposed to touch. I spend my day reminding Mommy and Daddy that there is no such thing as a perfectly baby proofed house! My favorite "no-no" things are the diaper pail, electrical cords, and the caps on the base of the toilet. I also enjoy chewing on cell phones and TV remotes. Mommy recently gave in and let me have her patent leather clutch... my favorite thing to chew on our walks around town! The little metal clasp feels so good on my tender gums. BUT, she realized after I had been gnawing on it for several minutes, that the one thing that hadn't gotten taken out of it was her social security card! It was a little worse for wear, but fortunately still in one piece. My Uncle Joe is getting married on Friday, so all of my Grandpa Earl's relatives are starting to arrive. There will be many new people for me to meet in the next few days!

Sunny Days

I have been spending a lot of time outdoors recently! I love taking walks with Mommy and Daddy. We walk several miles a day around town. We had a heat wave here in Seattle this week, so Mommy and Daddy bought me a pool for the backyard. I LOVE it! Now I just need some swim trunks! We celebrated Grandpa Jack's birthday last weekend. I ate some of Mommy and Daddy's cake and ice cream and got to play with my cousins too. They were all laughing at how fast I've gotten with the army crawl! I had my 9 month well-baby check with Dr. Bennett on Wednesday. I weighed in at 18lbs 6oz, and was 28 inches long. I am in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. She said I looked great!

Memorial Day

It was a beautiful day in Edmonds on Memorial Day!  Mommy and Daddy and I took several walks.  I played on the slide and swing at the park, and we played in our yard.  It was so fun to have an extra day added on to our weekend!
I love my new Ergo baby carrier!  Mommy can use it as a backpack too.

I've discovered my tongue can do tricks

My newest fascination is with my tongue!  I can make it curl, stick out really far, and like to make clicking noises too.  Daddy's new nickname for me is Gene Simmons!
This face was accompanied by a loud growl.
What? Yes, I know my hair is sticking straight up.  It can't be helped!
