It's finally SUMMER in Seattle!

We have been having gorgeous weather (finally) in Edmonds the last few days!  I have had so much fun at the beach, the city park, and in my own back yard! I love the water, and have spent a ton of time in my pool the last two days.  Once I'm in, Mommy and Daddy have a VERY hard time getting me to come out, even if I am shivering like crazy.  They finally got smart this evening and hooked the garden hose up to the kitchen sink so that they could fill my pool with WARM water.  My Grandpa Earl used to do that for Mommy when she was little, only he somehow hooked the hose up to the washing machine!

These are roses from our yard... they are in full bloom right now all the way across the front sidewalk!
Ahh, WARM WATER!

June, Part 2

Here are some more photos taken in recent weeks!  I am currently pretty fascinated with stickers, and love to dance to any kind of music!

It's June!

Wow, can you believe it's June already?  The weather has been kind of crazy here in Seattle... shorts one minute, pants and coat the next!

All bundled up, ready for a walk!

Movie please!!

It always makes Mommy laugh to see me in these pajama's because I look like such a little peanut!  Daddy calls me his Little Creamsicle whenever I wear them!

A beautiful sunny day calls for some cool shades...

Roaring like a lion!

Mommy turned her back on me or a second, and look what I decided to do!! It's so much easier to find the perfect toy when you're sitting in the toybox.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend. Grandma Libby, Uncle Joe and Aunt Amy came over Saturday evening to celebrate what would have been Grandpa Earl's 56th birthday.  We had a taco dinner and strawberry shortcake for dessert.  YUM!  I was VERY wound up that night, and was doing everything I could think of to keep the attention focused on me.  I made everybody laugh... I even made myself laugh!  On Sunday, I was quite exhausted from my antics the night before, so I ended up sleeping a good portion of the day away.  I went down for my nap at 1:15, and I didn't get up again until 5:30!  On Monday, we went over to my Grandpa Jack and Grandma Chris' house for a visit since it was Grandpa Jack's birthday.  I enjoyed playing with the toys that were in their closet, and especially liked Grandpa's giant flashlight. When we got home, we walked to the new hamburger joint here in Edmonds and got take-out.  I loved playing in their giant sandbox while we were waiting for our order, and got COVERED in sand!  Today was the only dry day in the forecast for the entire week, so Mommy and I took advantage of it and spent a good portion of the day outside.  We walked to Starbucks for a treat and visited Aunt Alex at The Papery.  I love visiting her because she always lets me pick out a chocolate from the bowl on the counter!  After that, I helped Mommy water the tomato plants and used my bubble lawn mower to mow the front lawn.  Then we chased a crow around our neighborhood, and watched the bumblebees that were hard at work in our neighbors flower patch. After that, I decided I wanted to see the fire trucks, so we walked up to the station.  Then we went across the street and ran around in the playfield, and played on the twirly slide.  THEN the garbage truck came by, so we followed behind the truck for several blocks, watching them empty the trash cans into the truck, and blowing kisses and waving at the garbage men.  After all that excitement, I was ready for a nice long three hour nap!  When I got up, Mommy and I took flowers to Grandpa Earl's grave and went grocery shopping, and then did some weeding in the yard. When Daddy got home, I was ready for some R&R, so Daddy and I watched Ratatouille while Mommy was at her voice lesson.  I ate a good dinner, and then was so ready for bed that I walked myself into the bedroom, expecting Mommy to follow at 8:00. So there you have it, my busy weekend!

I love playing Daddy's guitar

I was so excited that there was a FLAG next to his marker! The city put the crosses and flags on all the graves of those who served in the armed forces.

Haircut and ice cream!

Mommy gave me my 4th haircut today.  I thought it was hilarious watching the clippings drop all over my high chair tray!  I got a little fussy towards the end, but calmed right down when Mommy promised that if I sat really still I could have an ice cream sandwich when she finished.  In addition to getting my haircut, I got to do several fun things today!  Mommy and I took a morning walk and saw tons of birds, and got the fireman at the station to wave to us while we were looking at the ambulance through the garage window.  In the afternoon, we took another walk and visited the toy store (I love to play with their train), and the pet shop where we got to pet several very soft kitties.  Then we walked past the fire station, and they were doing a training in the driveway.  We got to see a fireman unroll the giant fire hose and turn it ON!  I was so exhausted after our walk, that I ended up taking a second nap, which meant that it didn't feel like bedtime until MUCH later than Mommy and Daddy would have preferred.
New hair cut!

Sunny Days

I had such a fun morning playing with my friends Emily and Steven Twedt!  We went to storytime at the library, then got treats at Starbucks, and ended the morning with a good play session in my backyard.  Here are some pictures!

Nothing like a Bar Mitzvah celebration on the street right outside your house! Correction: Several weeks after this post, Mommy found out that the celebration was actually the commemoration of a brand new Torah that had been handwritten for a local synagogue. Wow!

Yes, those are tubas in the back of the truck!

Being silly, wearing Mommy's shoes!

Play time with Steven and Emily!

Mother's Day Weekend

The weather was beautiful here for Mother's Day Weekend!  Daddy and I spoiled Mommy for Mother's Day.  I let her know how much I loved her by waking her up at 1:30, 4:30, and 6:59am.  Then Daddy and I made waffles with strawberries for Mommy while she slept in.  We had a delicious dinner of baked salmon, pasta, and green salad, and then Daddy set up the bathroom like a spa for Mommy and let her have a super long bubble bath (without me!), complete with candles, champagne, and chocolate.  Here are some pictures from our weekend in the sun!
